We collect personal information in order to provide service to our clients and to help discover how we may better serve the needs of potential clients.
TYPES OF COLLECTED INFORMATION
CONTACT FROM POTENTIAL CLIENTS
When we are contacted by potential clients about their research needs, we respond to all inquiries personally. As a result, we may ask for an email address or phone number with which we may contact you to discuss your needs. Discovering Connections will never share any of this contact information with anyone outside Discovering Connections and will delete you contact information upon your request.
CLIENT CONTACT AND GENEALOGICAL INFORMATION
Client contact information is kept and use to communicate with our clients about their research needs and projects. Client contact information and communications are kept confidential and are never shared with anyone outside of Discovering Connections. All information that is not of public record that is provided to us by the Client is kept confidential. Client genealogical and contact information is saved by Discovering Connections for at least 2 years following the completion of a client project unless the client requests for it to be deleted sooner.
CLIENT DNA DATA
For Clients whose research projects involve the use of their DNA data, no information is ever shared outside of Discovering Connections, except in the particular instances explicitly specified and agreed to by the Client in the DNA Informed Consent Agreement.
