Meet the Genealogist

Christine E. Neumann

Christine E. Neumann

Genealogist and Researcher

Christine has been interested in genealogy for as long as she can remember. For her 7th birthday she asked for an Ancestry Family Tree Maker program and from then on she was hooked. Over the years, this passion continues to grow as she has continued to further her education in genealogical research.

Christine is a professional genealogist and owner of Discovering Connections. She has over 20 years of genealogical experience.

She served in the U.S. Army Reserves for over 8 years and achieved the rank of Captain. Her main genealogical specialization is in military records and research. She is able to use her extensive military background to help provide context and insight into military genealogical records.

Christine also has a science and genetics background. She earned a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Indiana University and a Bachelor's degree in Nursing from Marian University. This scientific background greatly enhances her work with DNA and genetic genealogy.

Although she started her career in the science and healthcare fields, her work as a Genealogist allows her to combine all of the things she loves: family, science/genetics, the law, solving mysteries, and military service.

She received a Certificate in Genealogical Research from Boston University. She is also a member of the Association of Professional Genealogists (APG) and the Vice President of the Northwest Indiana Genealogical Society.

Every family story is unique and interesting!

I enjoy the challenges that each new research project brings and I

look forward to helping you discover the mysteries your family tree holds.
